Meraki's cloud dashboard simplifies operations but does not remove RF engineering from the equation. Common questions

The Meraki dashboard says our Wi-Fi is healthy. Why do users complain?

Dashboard health reflects what the infrastructure observes from the AP side. It does not measure the client's view of the RF environment, non-Wi-Fi energy, or roaming decisions made by the client. Independent measurement at the client location closes that gap.

Can Auto RF replace a site survey?

No. Auto RF selects channel and power from the APs you already installed where you installed them. It cannot correct placement, antenna choice, or coverage that was never designed for the environment.
